Medical Office Administration Program

They also transcribe surgical proceedings, medical reports and records from machine dictation or rough notes from medical reports, correspondence and patient information.
Police Foundations Program
This 11 month diploma program is the first step in a career in policing in Ontario. Police Foundations is of interest to those who aspire to become Police Constables and Corrections Officers. Many colleges offer the teaching components of the Police Prep (PATI, WCT, PREP and B-PAD) and help students successfully pass the testing that is required to receive their "Applicant Testing Certificate". This is only the 1st of 12 steps in the process. Most candidates will fail to reach the 12th step or even come close and will not know why they were unsuccessful. Applicants may fail at the Development or Essential Competencies interviews because these interviews can last up to 4 hours. At the Ontario College, we work with our students to have them prepare, practice, rehearse, refine and perfect the material they need to succeed in all 12 crucial steps. Understanding the system and preparing for the entire process positions the applicant for greater success.
Primary Care Paramedic Program
Primary Care Paramedics administer pre-hospital emergency medical care to patients with injuries or medical illnesses and transport them to hospitals or other medical facilities for further medical care. They are employed by private ambulance services, hospitals, fire departments, government departments and agencies, manufacturing firms, mining companies and other private sector establishments.
Private Investigator Program
On August 23, 2007, the Private Security and Investigative Services Act came into effect. The new law requires security industry workers to be licensed, including some that were not licensed previously.
If you are a security guard, private investigator, bodyguard, bouncer or loss prevention personnel, you must now apply for a licence from this ministry.
Agencies that sell security services still need to be licenced and must renew annually.
Security Guard Program
The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services is committed to professionalizing the private security industry and increasing public safety by ensuring that practitioners are fully qualified to provide Security Guard services. As of April 15, 2010, the new basic Training and Testing Regulation took effect. Applicants for licenses as Security Guards in Ontario are now required to undergo mandatory training and pass a test.
